Shawarma Snack Center near Robinson’s Manila
Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullaah,
The name sounds awfully dodgy alright but you gotta see the place and try their food Mashaa’Allaah very genuine. I’m not sure if they’ve changed the name recently as the last time I got there, they had a new place just right infront of the old one.
Everytime we go there, my parents would order this huge round pan filled with “kebabs” and salads and “khubz” and I think the “hummus” we had, was included. It totally rocked man and brought back memories of being raised in Saudi. Sobrang sulit talaga ’cause I think for that huge pan my dad only paid about Php2000 and we were literally STUFFED to think na we have a lion’s appetite.
I think it’s owned by a Jordanian who married a Pinay revert Wallaahu a’lam.
I forgot the exact name of the street but it’s near Robinson’s Manila (forgot which wing) basta yung malapit sa may Department store, if I remember correctly, it’s Adriatico wing. So yeah, when you get out of the building you’ll see a chinese or korean grocery in a corner lot then dere-deretso kalang sa street na yun and you’ll see their sign. It’s easier to spot it during the night ’cause it’s more filled with people and lights and of course Middle Eastern men hangin’ and chillin’ around LoL. I wish I had a picture of the place, Inshaa’Allaah when I pay them a visit again soon.
